Domestic and Dating Violence

Non-residential Services for Victims of Domestic and Dating Violence

Non-residential services to domestic and dating and sexual violence victims has been the core of Center for Safety & Change for the past 31 years. These services have been developed specifically to serve domestic violence victims who do not require or desire residential placement. Residential services are provided at the Rockland Family Emergency Residential Shelter.

Center for Safety & Change provides comprehensive non-residential services to all victims of domestic violence. A person is deemed eligible for non-residential services when she or he provides oral and/or documentary information to establish eligibility, regardless of income or immigration status.

Most non-residential services are provided at the one of six Center for Safety & Change locations in Rockland County; some services for domestic violence victims with special circumstances may be provided at other sites, including the Rockland County Child Protective Services (CPS) office in Pomona through a collaborative program with (CPS).
