- In 2003 the Asian Women's Alliance for Kinship and Equality A.W.A.K.E honored the agency.
- El Clarin Honored the agency in 2002.
- The Police Chiefs Association of Rockland County awarded the agency in 2002.
- In 1999 the Martin Luther King Multi Purpose Center saluted RFS with an award.
- The County of Rockland presented RFS with the Distinguished Services Award in 1985 and again in 1989.
- William B. Eimicke, Director of Housing for New York State, presented the agency with the Distinguished Housing Award in 1986.
- The Rockland County Youth Bureau recognized our work in 1985 with the Father F. Peter Service to Youth Award.
- Governor Mario Cuomo honored the agency in 1985 with the Eleanor Roosevelt Award for Community Service.
- The Rockland Business Association presented the agency with the Pinnacle Award for Outstanding Achievement by a Non-Profit Organization in 2004.
